Red White Koi Plakat Betta Fish (Female)

Live female koi plakat betta with a red and white patterned body, similar to the colouring of koi carp. Koi bettas can slowly change their pattern over their lifetime, so each fish looks a little different. As a plakat, she has short fins and swims actively around the tank.

Females are calmer than males and can sometimes live with peaceful community fish such as small rasboras or corydoras in a larger planted tank. Watch them for the first few days to make sure they settle. Never keep her with a male betta outside of supervised breeding. A tank of 5 litres or more with a lid is suitable, kept at around 24 to 28°C with a heater in winter. Use still or slow-moving water and change part of it every week.

Feed small portions of betta pellets or frozen food once or twice a day. Like all bettas, she breathes air from the surface, so leave space below the lid. The fish is delivered live and packed for travel. Delivery is free.
